The former president's Granddaughter Receives Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA Debut

Emerging athlete getting ready for major tournament

The rising star has impressive social media audience

Kai Trump can count on plenty of prominent backers when she makes her LPGA debut on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to a former US president, obtained a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika competition in Florida.

The former president, a passionate golfer, operates multiple international courses and regularly matches against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she revealed.

Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Just don't get nervous."

"My grandpa practically advised me to play and relax," she explained.

"In my eyes, he's just a normal grandpa. He won't be there this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him somewhat preoccupied."

As an amateur, the golfer has participated in only three events recently and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.

However she can get advice from golf legend, who is dating Vanessa.

"He stands as the best player in the world," Kai stated.

"Additionally, he's a superior human being. He suggested me to compete, have fun, adapting to the flow."

Kai will face several most prominent players in professional golf at the Annika, featuring world number two the champion, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

The LPGA mentioned that involving Kai brings golf to new audiences, particularly among younger fans.

Kai maintains substantial online presence and has started an exclusive clothing and lifestyle company.

She begins at 17:30 GMT.
